ASUN-500 Alloy Copper Rod Slag Scraping Butt Welder

The ASUN-500 Alloy Copper Butt Welder is a high-power resistance butt welder capable of welding solid copper rods up to 35mm in diameter. Through tooling switching, it can also be compatible with other sizes of copper rods. Efficient and stable welding, a single welding efficiency of 120 seconds a piece (including manual), and high welding quality, strong joint.

Why Choose Agera?

Agera is a metal butt welding machine industry expert, Agera butt welding machine can weld various sizes of metal bars, profiles, etc. Agera’s copper rod butt welding machine has been developed and upgraded for many years, and the process technology has been very mature. The following is the welding video of this resistance butt welding machine of Agera, showing the whole process of automatic welding and automatic scraping of Agera butt welding machine.

What is the working principle of resistance butt welding machine?

The two workpieces clamped on the electrodes are brought into contact with each other under the action of a small extrusion force Fw. After energization, the current passes through the workpieces clamped in the electrodes, causing the workpieces to heat up. Due to the high resistance of the contact end surface of the workpiece, the temperature of the contact surface and its near-seam area rises rapidly. When the temperature required for welding is reached, a certain plastic deformation occurs under the action of a certain upsetting force Fd and then welding is achieved.

What is the difference between resistance butt welding machine and other welding machines ?

Compared with spot welding and projection welding, resistance butt welding has different joint forms and welding processes. Resistance butt welding is a butt joint, while spot welding and projection welding are lap joints.

How to choose the appropriate welding current and time?

According to the material characteristics and size, determine whether to use hard gauge or soft gauge welding. If hard gauge is used, use high current for short time welding. If soft gauge is used, use small current for long time welding.

What safety matters need to be paid attention to when using resistance butt welding machine?
  1. When placing the workpiece, prevent crushing and bruises
  2. Prevent the transformer from overloading for a long time, causing primary breakdown of the transformer, or when the welding machine insulation is damaged, grounding failure, etc., resulting in electric shock;
  3. During flash butt welding, prevent personnel from being burned by welding spatter. It is prohibited to place flammable items within the coverage of welding spatter;
  4. When welding copper, aluminum or other harmful substances that produce toxic gases, smoke, etc., prevent air pollution from causing physical harm to personnel on site.
