Features of the Automotive Spring Clip Nut Projection Welder
The automotive spring clip nut automatic projection welder is a custom-built machine developed by Agera specifically for fastener manufacturers. It is based on a standard capacitor discharge spot welder, with the addition of a nut feeder that automatically delivers nuts to the welding position. The machine also includes a rotary fixture. Operators manually place spring clips onto the fixture, and then the system works with the nut feeder to complete the welding process.
Advantages of the Spring Clip Nut Spot Welder

The dual‑station layout enables simultaneous loading and welding, achieving a stable cycle time of 12–13 seconds per piece. Compared with traditional manual projection welding, this typically boosts production line efficiency by about 70%.

Equipped with a current monitor for real‑time detection, the host computer collects and stores all projection welding data and seamlessly integrates with the factory MES system. Stable parameter control ensures that the first‑pass yield consistently exceeds 99.5%.

Using capacitor energy storage and instantaneous discharge, the weld nuggets are fully fused. The joint torque resistance exceeds 15 N·m, the thread tightening torque reaches 65 N·m, and the penetration depth is over 0.1 mm. In destructive testing, failure always occurs in the base material rather than at the weld.
